Rail Infrastructure
Rail infrastructure includes the development of new freight railway lines, as well the upgrading of existing lines.
ATEC Rail Group’s approach and philosophy in pursuing greenfield rail infrastructure developments is to seek bulk commodity and/or minerals precincts with sustainable futures. To this end, ARG’s process in assessing which projects to pursue is as follows:
ARG’s most advanced project is the Surat Basin Rail project, a 214km railway linking Wandoan and Banana in the Queensland Surat Basin, which received environmental approval by the Queensland Government in December 2010.
ARG is in prefeasibility assessment on other projects including:
-
Border Rail
-
Northern Rail (Mt Isa to Abbott Point)
