Managing Director

John is a former corporate advisor with almost 20 years’ experience in pre-merger assessment and acquisition, implementation, and post-merger integration.  John has been involved in the development of a number of multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects in the UK, Spain, Asia and Australia.

John was appointed to the ARG Board in 2002 and became ARG’s Managing Director in 2011. John’s experience is invaluable as ARG continues to investigate greenfield rail corridors throughout regional Australia.

John was former founding Director of TFG International, a former senior executive of KPMG, a former Director of Matchbox Pictures Pty Ltd, and sits on the Advisory Board of EP & T Global.

Warren McReight

EGM Rail Infrastructure

Warren McReight is a Chartered Professional Engineer who has worked at senior levels in both the public and private sector for more than 25 years.

Warren has extensive experience in developing, consulting and project managing multi-million dollar critical infrastructure projects throughout Australia, with particular interest in roads and rail.

Warren started at ATEC Rail Group in 2012 and brings years of experience in developing privately-funded greenfield rail infrastructure in regional Australia. Warren was previously project director at Surat Basin Rail, a rail freight solution connecting the Surat Basin coal fields with the Port of Gladstone.

Warren has previously run a successful private enterprise consulting business, advising primarily on linear infrastructure projects, and was State Director, Project Management, for Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Warren has formal qualifications in Engineering and Local Government, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland.

Stephen Walsh

Stephen Walsh has more than 20 years’ experience in financial and commercial roles across a range of industries in Australia, including construction, financial services and energy.

Stephen’s most recent role was with CS Energy, a Queensland based energy company where he was responsible for the finance, treasury, commercial and risk management functions for the past 10 years. In this role Stephen participated in a number of transaction teams where he advised on the commercial and structural elements of transactions.

Prior to this Stephen worked in the financial services industry where he established and managed the first non-mortgage backed asset securitization transactions undertaken in the Australian market.

Elizabeth McClymont-Mortensen

Elizabeth has more than 15 years’ PR and communications experience managing media, sponsors, stakeholders, crisis/issues, and M&A/JV activity across a range of corporate and government positions in Brisbane, London and various countries in Europe.

Elizabeth has worked as a media advisor to a former QLD State Minister, was head of PR at a national energy company, and for some years in London managed the media and external relations for the European subsidiary operations of TXU Energy, and then AOL/Time Warner, two of the largest publicly-listed energy and entertainment companies in the United States.
